FanDuel expands product offering

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Today, FanDuel introduced its first soccer product in the U.S., announcing that contests for the English Premier League will be coming later this month. As the company continues to broaden its product offerings, soccer will be the fifth sport available on FanDuel, in addition to football, baseball, basketball and hockey.

"As we continue to enhance our core product, we look forward to giving the millions of US soccer fans access to the same game day excitement that bring other sports fans to our platform."

Designed with all soccer fans in mind, the soccer product will launch with the following features for EPL contests:

• 8-player fixed roster– Users will draft a standard FanDuel roster consisting of a goalkeeper, two defensemen, three midfielders and two forwards.
• $60,000 budget – Users will be required to pick whatever players they want, staying under a $60,000 salary cap.
• Variety of scoring categories – The product will launch with a variety of players stats, including chances created to shots on target.

The announcement of EPL contests comes on the heels of FanDuel launching Friends Mode, the company's season-long product, ahead of the NFL season. Friends Mode for EPL will be available later this season.
