Everest Poker holds Amsterdam event
MONTREAL, Quebec -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Everest Poker today announced that a live event in its second annual Everest Poker European Cup tournament would be held in Amsterdam on May 13, 2007 at 19:00 local time (17:00 GMT). The Everest Poker European Cup is a freeroll poker tournament that allows players from all over Europe to compete for a €100,000 prize. Last year's tournament brought together 100 players from the continent together to compete for a €50,000 prize while this year's event offers 200 players the chance to win €100,000.
"This Amsterdam event really kicks the EPEC into full gear," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. "After this, we'll have more live events across the continent and more players will get their shot at €100,000!" This year's EPEC began on May 1st and carries on through August, culminating in a live holdem poker finale. It will be held as a series of live and online qualification tournaments staged across the continent. Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal will be the host countries for the live events. Online qualifiers will also occur for each country on Friday evenings at 19:00GMT.
