EPT Barcelona's biggest Platinum Pass drop
30 Jul 2018
Players who make it through to Day 2 of the National, Cup, Main Event and Tournaments #23 and #28 will be eligible for the Crazy Pineapple Hand Challenge. Each player, who must be at their table to participate, will receive three cards, discard one and then play out the hand until there is an eventual Platinum Pass winner for each of the five tournaments.
Over the next few weeks, players still have a chance to win their way to EPT Barcelona via special edition €10 EPT Barcelona Spin & Go qualifiers, with a top-tier prize of an €8,700 Main Event package. So far, seven packages have been awarded to players from countries ranging from Mexico to the United Kingdom.
This year each EPT Barcelona player will receive a €7 voucher for refreshments in all food outlets at Casino de Barcelona for every unique tournament registration they make. Further entertainment can be had at the Players Party on Sunday, 26 August from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Bestial, which is just a two-minute walk from Casino Barcelona. There will be complimentary food, drinks and live music from DJ Tribiza.
Danny McDonagh will be joining the action at EPT Barcelona for the first time as Executive Tournament Director. “I’m really looking forward to EPT Barcelona, undoubtedly one of the favorite stops of the tour, held in a truly breath-taking city. I look forward to meeting players and seeing them enjoy the added value that is on offer from this event,” said McDonagh. “We’ve just launched what is in effect an online version of the Welcome Desk on Facebook for players to ask all of their live event related questions in a group called the PokerStars Live Events Team. It will allow players to interact directly with PokerStars staff and Tournament Directors to discuss all live event matters from online satellites to visa requirements.”
