England: Culture secretary disappointed at racing and bookmakers standoff

LONDON, England -- The British culture secretary has hit out at the racing industry and bookmakers for their failure to resolve the levy standoff, The Guardian reported.Talks have broken down in the standoff, which now leaves the culture secretary Jeremy Hunt and the government to resolve it, The Guardian said.
The racing industry blamed the bookies saying they'd "failed to offer any improvement on an initial offer" that was unacceptable, The Guardian quoted.
