Edler stages dramatic comeback

LOXI Mississippi -- As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "What is being billed by poker enthusiasts as one of the biggest comebacks in poker history took place this weekend during the World Poker Tournament Gulf Coast Poker Championship held at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino.

"Bill Edler, who was crippled on day three with only two $1,000 chips remaining, threw caution to the wind and put his fate into the 52 cards in front of him. The outcome of the next three hands would catapult Edler from 'out the door' to the champion of the first inaugural WPT event on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

"For his efforts, Edler was awarded entry into the WPT Championship event, the WPT GCPC bracelet, and the sum of $747,615.

"Edler was able to throw his last chips into the pot and triple up on what he thought was his last hand. On the next hand, Edler quadrupled up to the players' amazement but was still in trouble. After Edler went all-in on the next hand, he doubled up skyrocketing his $2,000 chip stack to $130,000 in three hands..."
