Economic downturn leaves 40 Circus Circus employees without jobs

RENO, Nevada -- As reported by Channel 4 KRNV: "Reno's Circus Circus says it is laying off as many as 40 employees due to ongoing evaluations and adjusting labor demands.
"According to Yvette Monet from the Mirage in Las Vegas, there is no pattern to the layoff. The former employees of the casino and hotel are from different departments and range form salary to hourly waged employees.
"Monet says Circus Circus is trying to stay efficient during this economic downturn. She says she does not know whether severance packages will be offered..."
