Dylan Weisman claims $25,000 PLO event at US Poker Open

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Dylan Weisman is quite the pot-limit Omaha expert. He laid more evidence to that with a $416,500 victory in Event #10: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha at the 2022 U.S. Poker Open.

Weisman entered Saturday’s final table with the chip lead and never gave it up, knocking out all five of his opponents to get the win. Weisman also busted Chris Brewer in seventh place to end Day 1. In the end, Weisman topped Cary Katz in heads-up play, with Katz picking up $269,500 in prize money.

During the 2022 U.S. Poker Open, Weisman has finishes of fifth in Event #2: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for $61,600, fifth in Event #4: $10,000 Big Bet Mix for $42,400, sixth in Event #8: $15,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for $60,300 in addition to the win he earned in Event #10. Not only have those results put $580,800 in Weisman’s pocket, but he’s tallied 414 points for the U.S. Poker Open leaderboard and is currently sixth with two events to go.

Event #10: $25,000 PLO drew a field of 49 entries and created a prize pool of $1,225,000. The top seven spots finished in the money. Sam Soverel was eliminated on the money bubble and then Chris Brewer finished in seventh place for $49,000. All players to cash earned both U.S. Poker Open and PGT leaderboard points.
