Dover Downs to host Getaway Weekend poker tournaments

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Two big Texas Hold'em tournament weekends, featuring $64,000 in guaranteed prize pools and a $30,000 guaranteed tournament on 30 December, are coming to Dover Downs Hotel & Casino's Poker Room in December, including a Getaway Weekend 9-11 December and a Christmas holiday tournament schedule from 29 December to 1 January.
The Getaway Weekend tournament schedule includes:

• Friday, 9 December, 11:15 a.m.: $10,000 guaranteed, $125 buy-in, 25-minute blinds, 20,000 starting stack
• Saturday, 10 December, 11:15 a.m.: $15,000 guaranteed, $150 buy-in, 30-minute blinds, 25,000 starting stack
• Sunday, 11 December, 11:15 a.m.: $2,500 guaranteed, $45 buy-in, 15-minute blinds, 30,000 starting stack

There are two satellite events for the Saturday, 10 December $15,000-guaranteed tournament, where one player out of every 10 entries will earn a seat. The satellite schedule is:

• Monday, 5 December, 7:15 p.m.: $25 buy-in
• Wednesday, 7 December, 7:15 p.m.: $25 buy-in

The Christmas week tournament schedule includes:

• Thursday, 29 December, 7:15 p.m.: $2,500 guaranteed, $45 buy-in, 20-minute blinds, 20,000 starting stack
• Friday, 30 December, 11:15 a.m.: $30,000 guaranteed, $250 buy-in, 30-minute blinds, 30,000 starting stack
• Saturday, 31 December, 11:15 a.m.: $2,000 guaranteed, $45 buy-in, 20-minute blinds, 15,000 starting stack
• Sunday, 1 January, 11:15 a.m.: $2,000 guaranteed, $35 buy-in, Deep-Stack Turbo, 30,000 starting stack

There are two satellite events for the Saturday, Dec. 30 $30,000-guaranteed tournament, where one player out of every 10 entries will earn a seat. The satellite schedule is:

• Monday, 26 December, 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in
• Wednesday, 28 December, 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in

Also, all players who are dealt in the first hand of the December satellites and tournaments will receive a bonus of 500 in tournament chips. Players that register for the December tournaments more than one hour prior to the scheduled start receive a bonus 1,000 in tournament chips with their starting stack.
