Dover Downs poker room guarantees $70K in prizes over Memorial Day weekend

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Four no-limit Texas Hold’em tournaments, including one with a $35,000-guaranteed prize pool, will be featured during the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Poker Room’s next tournament weekend on Memorial Day weekend from 25-28 May.

The tournament schedule includes:

• Friday, 25 May, 11:15 a.m.: $5,000 guaranteed, $65 buy-in, 20-minute blinds.
• Saturday, 26 May, 11:15 a.m.: $35,000 guaranteed, $250 buy-in, 30-minute blinds.
• Sunday, 27 May, 11:15 a.m.: $20,000 guaranteed, $200 buy-in, 25-minute blinds.
• Monday, 28 May, 11:15 a.m.: $10,000 guaranteed, $100 buy-in, 20-minute blinds.

In addition, there will be two satellite events for the Saturday, 26 May $35,000-guaranteed tournament, where one player out of every 10 entries will earn a seat into the event. The satellite schedule is:

• Wednesday, 23 May, 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in, 12-minute blinds.
• Thursday, 24 May, 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in, 12-minute blinds.

Also, all players who are dealt in the first hand of the 23-24 May satellites and 25-28 May tournaments will receive a bonus of 500 in tournament chips. Players that register for the tournaments more than one hour prior to the scheduled start receive a bonus 1,000 in tournament chips with their starting stack. Tournament participants also receive 12 Capital Club points and $3 in comp for registering in each tournament from 25-28 May.
