Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to host October Getaway poker tournaments

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Four no-limit Texas Hold’em tournaments, including one with a $30,000-guaranteed prize pool, will be featured during the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Poker Room’s next Getaway Weekend from Oct. 6-9.

The Getaway Weekend tournament schedule includes:

6 October at 11:15 a.m.: $15,000 guaranteed, $175 buy-in, 25-minute blinds.
7 October at 11:15 a.m.: $30,000 guaranteed, $225 buy-in, 30-minute blinds.
8 October at 11:15 a.m.: $10,000 guaranteed, $85 buy-in, 20-minute blinds.
9 October at 11:15 a.m.: $1,500 guaranteed, $35 buy-in, 15-minute blinds.

In addition, there will be two satellite events for the $30,000-guaranteed tournament on 7 October, where one player out of every 10 entries will earn a seat. The satellite schedule is:

4 October at 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in.
5 October at 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in.

Also, all players who are dealt in the first hand of the 4 October and 5 October satellites and the tournaments on 6-9 October will receive a bonus of 500 in tournament chips. Players who register for the satellites and tournaments more than one hour prior to the scheduled start receive a bonus 1,000 in tournament chips with their starting stack.

There will be a limited number of $49-per-night hotel rooms for players who participate in the 6-9 October tournaments.

Cash Back: In Texas Hold’em cash games, players can earn $2 in cash and $1 in comp per hour of play. Visit poker room for complete details.
Bad Beat Hands: In many cash games or tournaments, lose with a hand as low as Jacks Full and collect a bonus of $300-$600.
Daily High Hand Contests: Win up to $900 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Payouts on the even-numbered hours.
$100 High Card: First full cash table between 9 a.m. and noon receives a $100 high-card hand.
