Andrew Donabedian is the first-ever winner of the $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack event. He wins $205,605 and his first-ever World Series of Poker bracelet.

Donabedian defeated Todd Dreyer heads up to claim the title and take home the bracelet on his sixth WSOP cash and first final table appearance. His previous best WSOP finish was 33rd place in the $1,500 PLO in 2018.

Donabedian, 28, was born in California and moved to Colorado to go to college. He got a degree in statistics before moving to Las Vegas to play poker for a living. He laughed after he won the bracelet. He has four top-six finishes in WSOP circuit events and can’t believe he won a bracelet before a circuit ring.

“Winning a bracelet is awesome honestly. I got a bracelet before I got a ring, I play a lot of circuit events and got a lot of second and thirds, but no win yet. I guess I was saving the win for the bracelet. I don’t feel like I need to win a ring now, because I have one better.”

Donabedian makes a point to play any PLO tournaments, especially the ones in Las Vegas. He said he was surprised at the field size in this tournament.

“I like how PLO seems to be getting more popular every year. I think it’s a lot more fun than Hold’em so I think it’s cool that more people are getting interested.”

The action started today with 12 players returning at noon. They quickly got to the final table, with the help of a two quick knockouts when Alexander Condon and Michael Bartov were both eliminated to cull the field to eight.

Eventually, Donabedian won the tournament, defeating Todd Dreyer to win his first WSOP gold bracelet along with $205,605.

Final table payouts:
1) Andrew Donabedian ($205,605)
2) Todd Dreyer ($126,948)
3) Robert Valden ($92,672)
4) Corey Wright ($68,258)
5) Mihai Niste ($50,732)
6) Alexandru Ivan ($38,051)
7) Tom Franklin ($28,803)
8) Florian Fuchs ($22,006)
9) Alexander Condon ($16,971)
