NEW YORK – As reported by the Buffalo Business First: "Uniland Development Co. and the Seneca Nation of Indians have cemented their relationship for a proposed Cheektowaga casino by agreeing to retain the Amherst-based company as the developer of the proposed gaming and hotel venture.

"…The Seneca Nation and Uniland struck an earlier deal that will enable the tribe to purchase 57 acres in the developer's Airborne Business Park as the site of its Erie County gaming venue. The complex would include a casino and adjoining hotel with the casino opening first.

"...The gaming venue would be the third by the Seneca Nation, as outlined in a compact it signed with Gov. George Pataki two years ago. Others are the Seneca Niagara Casino in downtown Niagara Falls and the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca in Cattaraugus County, which will open on May 1…"
