Detroit Sale Expected Within Quarter

DETROIT, Michigan -- As reported by the Globe St.: "The soon-to-be-merged gaming giants MGM Mirage and Mandalay Resort Group says it has received about a half dozen offers for one of its two area casinos and expects to sell one before the end of the first quarter.
" In an interview that coincided with MGM's quarterly earnings announcements, MGM Mirage president Jim Murren says he expects his company's merger with Mandalay to close in the first quarter of 2005.
"Michigan law requires it to sell either the MGM Grand or the MotorCity Casino in Detroit first…"
