Desperately seeking Yukon Gold

16 Jun 2007

By John Robison

My previous column included a letter from a lady in Iowa looking for casinos with Yukon Gold machines. A number of readers wrote in to name casinos they know with the machine. The casinos may not be that convenient for her, but she could plan a roadtrip to visit all of them.

John,

A comment on a recent e-mail:

It is a long way from Iowa, but please tell Abbee that I saw 3 Yukon Gold nickel machines at a casino (I forget which one) in Cripple Creek just last week.

Jim

A reader had a question about Yukon Gold slot machines. I remember seeing them at the HoChunk Casino, Wisconsin Dells/Baraboo Wisconsin this past weekend.

John,

I read your column regularly and really enjoy it.

Today Abbee had asked about the game Yukon Gold. It is still available at Fitzgeralds in Tunica. They had taken all of those kinds of machines and just recently put them back in. They also have the old Money to Burn, Leprechaun Gold, Off the Charts and the old Jackpot Party. Very seldom do you see any of those machines sit empty for very long at at time. One of the slot hosts told me that they brought them back because of the demand from the "regulars" (yeah I am one of those).

Thank you all for sharing your Yukon Gold sightings. The last letter illustrates an important point. If a casino removes a game you like, let it know that you would like the game to be brought back. You've nothing to lose, but if enough "regulars" speak up, you just might see the game back on the slot floor.

Best of luck in and out of the casinos,
John
