DOVER, Delaware – As reported by the Delaware State News: "With Pennsylvania casinos poised to open this summer, Gov. Ruth Ann Minner and many legislators are not rushing to bring more gambling to Delaware as a way to stay ahead of the new competition.
"Gov. Minner is slated to sign legislation into law this week allowing the casinos at the state's three racetracks to stay open longer and feature more machines.
"…Gov. Minner said the extra hours and additional machines, along with extra marketing capabilities for the casinos, will help keep Delaware's slots parlors competitive with Pennsylvania.
"Should the revenues drop, the governor said she would make the necessary budget decisions…"
