Cruise Ship to Host Poker Tournament
CALIFORNIA – As reported by the Orlando Sentinel: "Serious card sharks can stake out a piece of an estimated $7.5 million action during Holland America's Oosterdam's March 19 sailing from San Diego. That's the high-stakes bait for 750 players who make the field in the Partypoker.com Million IV tournament, to be held aboard the ship.
"Hopefuls must play online to win a seat at the seagoing table. The playoff's big winner will walk away from the cruise with almost $2 million, says Mark Tenner, president of Las Vegas-based Card Player Cruises, the company organizing the sweepstakes.
"PartyPoker.com, launched four years ago, is the world's largest online multi-player poker room, according to the Web site. It is licensed and regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, in Quebec, Canada.
