Crown Resorts sees lift in net profit

AUSTRALIA -- Crown Resorts saw a leap in net profit up 66 percent, aided by the growth of its Macau operation, according to the Herald-Sun.Australian gamblers, however, showed more restraint in their spending with VIP gambling revenue down 4.6 percent, the report said.
A new super-tax on high stakes gambling revenue meant less spend on marketing and incentives to attract high rollers to Australian properties, the Herald-Sun report said.
