Cordish Gaming appoints Prettyman to lead Live! Casino & Hotel in Louisiana

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Cordish Gaming Group, the gaming division of The Cordish Companies, proudly announces the promotion of Live! Casino executive Bryan Prettyman to Senior Vice President of Property Operations for the highly anticipated Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana. This $270+ million world-class gaming, dining, hotel, and entertainment destination is set to open in Bossier City in the first quarter of 2025.

In his new capacity, Mr. Prettyman will develop and implement operational strategies and initiatives to establish Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana as the foremost gaming and entertainment venue in the Shreveport-Bossier market. Responsibilities include all non-gaming resort operations including Hotel, Food & Beverage, Security, EVS and Facility management.

With over 36 years of experience in the gaming and resort industries, Mr. Prettyman has held leadership positions at prominent properties across New Jersey, Mississippi, California, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Louisiana. He most recently served as Vice President of Slots and Marketing for Live! Casino Pittsburgh, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects and regulations of slot operations while driving employee and guest satisfaction to deliver a superior guest experience.

Prior to joining the Live! team, Mr. Prettyman served as Senior Marketing Leader for Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, OK. Under his stewardship, the property became one of the largest casino resort operations in the United States. Mr. Prettyman’s experience and success in expanding the Choctaw Casino property will be instrumental as Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana prepares to set new benchmarks in the Ark-La-Tex region.

Throughout his career, Mr. Prettyman has received dozens of prestigious awards including honors from the American Gaming Association, the G2E’s 2005 Conference for “Best Television Campaign” for a casino property, as well as the national “Best Ad Campaign” award in 2011.

The Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana project is expected to generate significant economic benefits, including $35 million in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and over $168 million for the state of Louisiana within the first five years of operation. It will also create 750 new construction jobs and 750 permanent gaming and hospitality jobs, approximating $34 million in salaries, wages and tips.

Upon its grand opening, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will unveil more than 47,000-square-feet of cutting-edge gaming space, featuring over 1,000 slot machines and 40 live action table games, a sportsbook, and an upscale 550-room hotel with a resort pool and fitness center. Additionally, the property will boast a 25,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose Event Center for top name entertainment and conventions, alongside 30,000-square-feet of best-in-class dining and entertainment options, including nationally acclaimed concepts like Sports & Social, PBR Cowboy Bar, Luk Fu, a fine-dining steakhouse and much more.
