Committee to be given 'total freedom' on report

MONTREAL, Quebec -- A committee appointed to oversee Loto-Quebec's move into online gambling is to be afforded complete freedom, The Montreal-Gazette reported.The Finance Minister said the committee "will have total freedom in its methodologies, its opinions and report," according to the Montreal-Gazette.
The reports will also be made available to the public, The Montreal-Gazette reported.
The main mandate of the committee is exploring prevention in the areas of problem gambling and illegal gambling, the report noted.
