Colossus Bets names Michael Owen brand ambassador

The former England striker will become the brand ambassador for the company's range of sports-pool options, including "The £10,000,000 Colossus." The announcement follows the recent launch of the Colossus Bets affiliate program, which is managed by Income Access, a turnkey provider of technology and affiliate management solutions for the iGaming industry.
As part of his new role, Owen, whose 40 goals scored between 1998 and 2007 for the England national football team have only ever been exceeded by three other players, will provide his picks and advice on the Colossus website as well as playing the weekly seven-leg, correct score football pool himself.
"Once I saw the Colossus Bets concept, I had little hesitation in getting involved –- this is one of the most innovative and exciting betting ventures I have seen," said Owen, who won the 2001 European Footballer of the Year award and is currently a football commentator for UK-based TV channel BT Sport. "The idea that football punters can win a weekly £10,000,000 prize for an outlay of as little as £2 is an incredibly attractive proposition. For the first time, we have lottery-sized prizes available to be won on the sport I love."
Colossus Bets CEO Bernard Marantelli, who has known the former England and Liverpool F.C. striker for several years, said that he was delighted that someone of Owen's standing had seen the potential of Colossus Bets.
"Michael Owen was a star for England, and he will be a star for Colossus Bets as our ambassador," said Marantelli.
