Circa Survivor remaining entries down to single digits
30 Dec 2025
Week 17 was split into two legs – leg 17A, which consisted of the three games on played on Christmas Day, and leg 17B, which included the remaining games played Saturday through Monday. On Christmas Day, picks were spread across three teams. Five entries selected Dallas as a favorite against Washington, four backed Minnesota as an underdog against Green Bay and one selected Washington. This was the first time this season where at least half of the field were on underdogs, as every team had already picked Green Bay and Denver.
Dallas easily dispatched Washington, eliminating one entry, C3 Pickz. The four on Minnesota were in for a Christmas sweat though as 6.5-point underdogs. Detroit jumped out to a 7-0 lead quickly. The teams would exchange scores, and Minnesota took a 17-14 lead into halftime. JJ McCarthy ran in a touchdown early in the 3rd quarter to make the score 24-14, and Minnesota did not look back from there. Detroit scored a late touchdown to make the game 27-24, but Minnesota ended up winning and the four on Minneapolis advanced.
For week 17B, the picks were divided, with three teams on New England, three on Tampa Bay, two on Cincinnati and one on NYG. In the early window on Sunday, those on New England and Cincinnati cruised to a win. However, Tampa Bay could not stop Miami early and Miami led 17-7 at halftime. Tampa Bay did not score another touchdown until there were 50 seconds left in the game, and Miami came away with a 20-17 win, eliminating Accorsi, Brad Lee and Caveman6470.
The last entry, on New York, had no problems as New York easily beat Las Vegas. This left just six teams remaining for the final prize.
All six are still competing for the $18,718,000 prize pool. Each entry is now worth $3,119,667 and each check given out will have at least that much on it. The largest Circa Survivor payout to date was $3,066,500, shared by two winners in 2022. The 2025 contest is guaranteed to surpass that mark.
