Churchill placing team in Silicon Valley

CALIFORNIA – As reported by Business First: "In a call to investors Wednesday morning, Churchill Downs Inc. president and CEO Robert Evans said the company will place a team in California's Silicon Valley to develop new technology-driven products.
"Evans, who joined Churchill in mid-August when the previously CEO, Thomas Meeker, retired, said that if the company can think of itself as an entertainment business rather than a horse-racing business, 'a host of new products emerge.'
"…Evans declined to provide details about potential new products, but said Churchill will provide more information about its technology efforts early next year…"
