Christie again vetoes New Jersey sports betting bill
15 Aug 2014
Bill S2250 would have seen sports betting permitted in casinos and racetracks bypassing the federal law that banned such in 1992, the report explained.
Christie's decision was criticized by many who felt it would be a needed boost to the struggling horse tracks and casinos, the Star-Ledger said.
The bill's sponsor Sen. Raymond Lesniak said the issue may well have to wait until there's a new governor, the report made note.
