China cracks down on online gambling

BEIJING, China -- The Chinese government's clampdown on internet gambling has resulted in a high volume of arrests, Xinhua reported.3,430 people were arrested since February in more than 670 different cases, Xinhua said.
The information came from a government news release, which also described the closing of websites that publish gambling information or addresses of online sites, Xinhua said.
