Casino company cashes in on gloom

NEW ZEALAND -- As reported by the Daily Telegraph: "Trans-Tasman casinos and cinemas operator SkyCity Entertainment Group Ltd says revenue for the first two months of the second half of its financial year has improved, despite the challenging economic conditions.
"Sales for January and February were ahead of the same period last year, due to improved revenue from its Auckland's gaming machine operations and continued good revenue growth at its Adelaide casino.
"During the two months, total group revenues were marginally higher, with revenue from the Australian casino operations up by more than 14 per cent, in Australian dollars terms
"...However, SkyCity said revenues from its international operations continued to under perform..."
