2. Top 10 prop bets for the NBA season
The NBA season is less than two weeks away and teams are working to finalize their 12-man rosters before opening night. Below are a few prop bets to consider for the upcoming year.
Gobert rebounds leader (+400)
One of the bigger blockbuster trades that took place in the offseason recently happened with Karl-Anthony Towns being sent to the New York Knicks in a trade centered around Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo who now are with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
This trade means Rudy Gobert will be the primary rim protector and big man for the TWolves. He will have plenty of opportunities to clean up the glass on both sides of the floor.
Gobert finished second in rebounds last year behind this year’s favorite, Domantas Sabonis (+190) but by less than one rebound per game.
SGA to win MVP
In the blink of an eye, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has become one of the most electrifying players in the NBA to watch. His slippery moves make him able to get the rim nearly anytime he wants. His speed makes players have to guard a few feet off of him but this allows him to pull up and knock down the jumper in a defender’s face.
It always helps an MVP candidate when their team is successful and the Oklahoma City Thunder finished as the best team in the Western Conference in the regular season last year. With being so young, and most of the roster coming back, you should expect this team to be fighting for that top seed again this season.
SGA should be in the MVP conversation with most likely Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets who has won the award three out of the last four years.
Boston to win it all
The defending champion Boston Celtics are again the favorite to win the title. Pretty much the entire team is coming back this season, and they brought in Lonnie Walker IV for possible bench minutes if needed.
Jaylen Brown has added some more muscle to his body, Jayson Tatum had a tough experience in the Summer Olympics, so the Jays are going to be bringing it to the rest of the league again.
The best defensive backcourt in basketball, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White are going to be giving teams fits and making them work hard for every basket.
Kristaps Porzingis is out with an injury until December but the team showed last year they can still win games in his absence.
It will be very tough for someone to beat them in a series when on any given night a different player can lead them in scoring and be the difference maker.

1. Tropicana Las Vegas says final farewell with historic implosion
The iconic Tropicana Las Vegas took its final bow with a spectacle, illuminating the Las Vegas skyline with a drone and fireworks show, followed by the 22-second-long implosion of the Tropicana at 2:30 a.m. PT on Wednesday, 9 October.
The property made room for the Athletics’ state-of-the-art ballpark and an entertainment resort destination in partnership with Bally’s Corporation.
The last remaining casino of its era on the Las Vegas Strip, the implosion of the Tropicana’s two 22-story towers, totaling 917,400 square feet, involved a total of 22,000 lineal feet of detonating cord. The structural steel-framed Paradise Tower featured 220 cut-point locations loaded with 490 pounds of explosives, while the reinforced concrete-framed Club Tower had 1,130 boreholes filled with 1,700 pounds of explosives.
