California online poker bill put off

CALIFORNIA -- Legalizing online poker has been deferred in California as lawmakers decided to shelve bills that would have seen it happen, according to The Fresno Bee.

This is the fifth year that lawmakers have not voted on the issue, the report said.

Proponents will have to wait another year for the issue to be revisited, The Fresno Bee said.
