Cake Poker $100K and $65K guarantees extended

CURACAO -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Popular online poker site Cake Poker is maintaining its $100,000 Guaranteed and $65,000 Super Stack Guaranteed tournaments. Additionally in July, Cake Poker is starting satellite tournaments for the English Poker Open and Battle of Malta.

The indefinite extension of the $100,000 and $65,000 Super Stack guaranteed tournaments means players can expect more of the significant overlays which these tournaments have been producing. These large guaranteed events run every Sunday with the $100,000 starting at 8pm GMT (4pm ET) and the $65,000 Super Stack starting an hour later. Buy-ins are $100+$9 and $500+$30 respectively. On Sunday, July 1 a $500 bounty will be placed on 10 pros in a special "Pro Elite" Bounty Edition of both the big guarntees.

Along with the increased guaranteed tournaments, Cake Poker is offering a series of new satellites to live events in July.

Cake Poker is once again supporting the English Poker Open, which is boasting a guaranteed £250,000 Main Event playing September 18-21 at the Fox Club in London, England. $5,000 USD prize packages will be awarded that will earn the playes an EPO Main Event seat plus $1,500 in cash to help with travel expenses. Cake is guaranteeing one $5K prize pack per EPO Main Event final ($30+$3 Rebuy and Add-on) with the first one playing on Sunday, July 8 at 6pm GMT (2 pm ET). Satellites begin on July 1 and the schedule features FIVE daily freerolls along with low buy-in cash satellites.

Satellites for the inaugural Battle of Malta will begin in mid-July. Prize packages are valued at $2,500 USD and can be put toward the $500 Main Event seat, flight and accommodation. The tournament will take place November 22–25 at the Hilton Malta. The $2 satellites start on July 15 and will feed a Sunday, July 22 Final with a $20+$2 Rebuy and Add-on.
