Brothers' rival bid at APT

18 Aug 2008

SPAIN -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Titan Poker, the largest poker room on the iPoker Network, is sending two talented brothers to China this August for the second stop on the 2008 Asian Poker Tour (APT Macau).

Antonio Naves, 31, and younger brother Bruno, 25, from Spain, have been playing poker for four years and signed up for the action at Titan Poker's tables two years ago. In July, Bruno claimed his seat to China at one of Titan Poker's online Super Satellites. Not wishing to be outshone by his younger sibling, Antonio won his $9,000 prize package to Macau just one month later.

Antonio said: "Knowing that my brother would be at the tournament was definitely an incentive for me. However, we never really imagined that we would both qualify at the same time and for such a big and important tournament!"

Despite the fact that they don't often play together as Antonio specializes in lengthy, measured tournaments and Bruno prefers fast-paced Sit N Go's, they have previously competed together at the Spanish Poker Cup in Madrid and are both thrilled at the prospect of playing against each other again.

Bruno said: "I'm very excited about going to this tournament, especially because my brother will be there. Our family and friends can't believe that we're both going all the way to Macau to compete in this amazing poker tournament!"

Both brothers share similar estimations of their comparative poker talents, with Antonio admitting that his brother is the 'better player' and Bruno announcing: "I'm the best player of the two". This conviction will be put to the test on the 26th of August as they fly to China for their share of the APT Macau's $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Titan Poker regularly rewards its players with seats to the world's most well-known poker tournaments, such as the World Series of Poker and the European Poker Tour. Later this year, the popular poker room will send its players to the Australia Poker Cup 2008, the Irish Winter Festival and the Sun City Million Dollar Poker Tournament in South Africa.
