25 Sep 2012
The tournament, which will attract over 1,400 players from all across Europe, will use an innovative new poker tournament information system, Evcount, to power its live updates.
Evcount collates all chip counts, records bustouts, Tweets, blinds, new players, big hands, news and even feeds streaming commentary.
Iain Cheyne from Evcount said, “We are very excited to have Evcount deliver up-to-the-minute results, bust outs and news directly into people's homes, faster and smarter than before. The IPO, considered to be one of the few large-scale tournaments in Europe, will be a real test of the system, with 1,400 runners.
“Evcount will deliver what every viewer wants - up-to-the-minute information about their friends, relatives and club mates while they tackle this huge field."
Additionally Boylepoker.com has confirmed the International Poker Open final table will be live streamed on Saturday, November 10 by Winmedia while there will be a live stream of the feature table from October 19 to 21.
Players can now qualify for the IPO every night of the week at 8 p.m. in the daily €20 + €2 super satellite.
Each daily super satellite guarantees a minimum of one IPO seat worth €230 and players can win their way into these super satellites in a daily freeroll at 7 p.m. and in €5 + €0.5 buy-in feeder satellites at 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. each day.
This year Boylepoker.com is adding €20,000 to the prize pool for players who take part in its Extra Cash promotion, which sees players who earn a total of 350 loyalty points at Boylepoker.com in two single months by October can win an extra €1,000 at the IPO.
Last year the IPO was won by Dutchman Luke Maartens, who topped the 1,388-strong field to take down the €51,350 top prize.
