Boyd Gaming premieres new Gone With The Wind themed wide-area progressive slot game

WAUKEGAN, Illinois -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE:WMS), a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of games, digital gaming content and gaming machines to the worldwide gaming industry, announced that its new GONE WITH THE WIND themed wide-area progressive (WAP) game is now debuting at Boyd Gaming casinos in Las Vegas, with the first appearance at The Orleans Casino. Under terms of an agreement with Boyd Gaming, GONE WITH THE WIND games will initially be offered exclusively at The Orleans, Gold Coast, Sam’s Town, Suncoast, Fremont, Main Street Station and California casinos in Las Vegas, as well as the Borgata in Atlantic City and other Boyd Gaming properties. WMS anticipates additional jurisdictional approvals and subsequent installations of GONE WITH THE WIND themed games at all Boyd Gaming casino properties nationwide, along with additional casinos in the coming months.

The nostalgia and romance sparked by Rhett and Scarlett in the film classic is brought to life on the casino floor with cinema-like quality and the gaming experience of WMS’ fan-favorite Sensory Immersion technology. The GONE WITH THE WIND game from WMS features a distinctive reel layout to create a unique gaming experience, where Rhett and/or Scarlett symbols will pay both left to right and right to left in winning combinations.

A Kissing Bonus brings real romance to the reel play. When the player makes the right bonus pick, Scarlett and Rhett kiss and the credits awarded increase. The more amorous the lovers, the more credits the player will receive. This bonus also recreates one of the more memorable kisses from the cinema classic, where Scarlett slaps Rhett at the end of their embrace – and the player receives an additional credit! The Kissing Bonus concludes when Scarlett and Ashley are discovered by Rhett, at which point players could get the chance at multiplying their entire bonus by 5 times the original amount.
