Bookies Release Odds on Booker Prize

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the Scotman: "There are 22 other books in the running for this year's Booker Prize, but on the longlist announced yesterday the bookmakers were only interested in one of them.
"David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas, which consists of six interleaving stories ranging from science fiction to 19th century pastiche, has been talked about as a likely Booker winner since its publication in February.
"Last night William Hill made it 3/1 favourite.
"…Joint second favourites at 10/1 are Allan Hollinghurst's The Line of Beauty, Nicholas Shakespeare's Snowleg, Nicola Barker's Clear and Susanna Clarke's historical fantasy masterpiece Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell…"
