UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by This is London: "Bookmaker William Hill has stopped taking bets on who will be the next James Bond after a flurry of wagers on actor Dougray Scott.
"A succession of heavy wagers on Scott caused Hill's to close its book on Friday afternoon.
"…The closing list included Dougray Scott at 6-9, Clive Owen at 5-2 and Hugh Jackman and Ewan Mcgregor at 4-1.
"Recent bets on Clive Owen last week could be explained away by his Oscar nomination. But William Hill believe the gamble on Dougray Scott could be due to insider information…"
