Bodog launches Anonymous Poker Series in 2013
20 Dec 2012
Culminating with a $100,000 Grand Final in Manila, January 2014, The Anonymous Poker Series will offer a brand-new set of qualifying events. The events will create a mix of players reaching the Grand Final including online gaming operators, recreational poker players from around the world and specially invited "poker heroes" from 2013.
Jonas Odman, Managing Director of BPN, explains: “This series will help highlight exactly how and why we feel our network is the best and safest place for both recreational poker players and operators alike. Operators who service sports bettors and casino players do not want their customers leaking money to non-depositing poker pros who are using sophisticated software in order to win. Our anonymous tables take this unfairness out of the equation, creating a much better experience for the leisure player.”
He added: “This model has been specifically designed to appeal to the Asian market where the ‘trust-factor’ is the single most important reason for choosing one operator over another. In the Asian market we believe our product - in the same way Live Dealer casinos are viewed above RNG operators - will be the preferred option in poker.”
Operators can qualify at live events to be held at industry conferences. Poker players can qualify both online and at live events to be held in Europe and Asia. All qualifiers will be flown to Manila and enjoy a stay for the Grand Final in January 2014. Full details of the live events will be announced next year as well as the criteria for who will qualify as one of the specially invited poker heroes of 2013.
