Bodog.com Offers Odds on Michael Jackson Trial
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Bodog.com continues to lead the pack in offering wagers on the most talked about pop culture events. Today Bodog.com has posted odds on a variety of outcomes in the most talked about trial of the year -- Michael Jackson's.
Bodog.com is running three wagers on the trial:
- Will Michael Jackson be convicted of child molestation at the end of this trial?
- Will Michael Jackson serve a jail sentence for his current child molestation trial?
- Will Michael Jackson switch lead attorneys again during the current trial?
The odds are currently just about even with "no" edging out "yes" on conviction and jail time, and "yes" edging "no" in the lead attorney switch
"Because of the nature of trials in that decisions go one way or the other, they naturally lend themselves to wagering," says Bodog.com Founder and CEO Calvin Ayre. "Not to mention, this is one of the biggest trials in recent history."
The high profile case is a contentious legal battle played out in the world's media spotlight. The charges against pop star Michael Jackson involve a cancer-stricken boy invited to the singer's Neverland Ranch. Last December, Jackson was charged with nine counts -- seven of child molestation and two of administering an intoxicating agent for the purpose committing a felony. The charges involve incidents alleged to have occurred in February and March of 2004.
Bodog.com is well known for its pop culture proposition wagers including reality TV shows, celebrity couplings, un-couplings and life milestones -- Britney's baby's name, Becks and Posh to split, etc., political events and more.
