Bodog.com Entertainment expands

20 Oct 2006

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Bodog.com Entertainment Group announced today its aggressive plans to build upon its current growth and expand its entertainment product channels into Europe, Asia and other markets around the world. Bodog.com's music division, Bodog Music, and television division, which produces reality TV shows such as BodogFight.com and Calvin Ayre Wild Card Poker, are in full operation, with offices in Europe and Asia.

"We couldn't be better positioned to roll out all of our existing entertainment channels into Europe, Asia and other international markets. This has been part of our long-term strategy and presents an enormous opportunity to build upon the current success and growth we're experiencing," said Calvin Ayre, the billionaire founder of Bodog.com. Ayre has been in Asia for the past several months expanding his charitable foundation's initiatives in the region and filming segments of his BodogFight.com reality TV series.

Over the last several years, Bodog.com has been taking a multi-phased approach to expanding its product channels into international markets, with Bodog Music opening offices in Berlin, London and other international destinations. Bodog Music is quickly becoming an international music distribution powerhouse, representing several prominent music artists, including Hip hop MC and producer Warren G and Canadian singer Nazanin, whose first single I Dance for 4 U charted in the UK. Nazanin was recently awarded a humanitarian award at the United Nations.

Earlier this year, Bodog Music released soundtrack deals in Europe and also partnered with the Warcon label in a distribution deal that would see Bodog's brand carried throughout the world. The international label has also signed a partnership with Billy Idol to release a Christmas album in time for the holidays.

Bodog Television shows can be seen in millions of homes across North America and are distributed worldwide to countries such as Russia, Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom. BodogTV's latest reality television show, BodogFight, is carried internationally on Bodog.com's broadband channel, BodogFight.com, with all the live events being shown on international Pay Per View. Bodog Music's popular million-dollar band search competition, Bodog Battle of the Bands, will also be carried across international networks early next year. "Our music and television channels are leading the charge in our efforts to penetrate a number of international entertainment markets. We're onto something big and our international brand presence will only be magnified in the years to come," said Ayre
