Bluff Europe partners with RankingHero
2 Oct 2014
The official partnership between Europe's largest consumer poker magazine and the world's fastest growing social poker network is designed to better serve poker players and cardrooms worldwide.
Under the new Bluff European Rankings system, the number of players and the buy-in are taken into account for each qualifying tournament, using a new algorithm, meaning players are rewarded for both big scores and consistency.
"We developed our own ranking system in-house several years ago and we have always been very proud of it, but there is always room for improvement," said Michael Caselli, editor-in-chief of Bluff Europe.
"RankingHero is the most comprehensive social poker database around, so we are confident the team there can help us take things to the next level," Caselli continued.
RankingHero's CCO Nicolas Levi added: "We are thrilled to work with Bluff Europe on their long established rankings, which remains popular within the poker community. We believe poker players deserve the best technology and are honoured to bring our expertise to the table."
French poker player Miroslav Alilovic currently sits atop the rankings, with two British pros - Jack Salter and Stephen Chidwick - in the top five. Both Salter and Chidwick are among the nominees for the fifth annual British Poker Awards (www.thebritishpokerawards.com), for which voting is now open to the public.
More details of the Bluff European Rankings can be found in the latest issue of Bluff Europe, which is distributed at cardrooms, casinos and newsagents across the United Kingdom. Digital versions are available from the iTunes and Google Play stores.
