(PRESS RELEASE) -- BloggerPokerTour.com has begun accepting registrations for the inaugural Blogger Poker Tour season, where over $25,000 in free cash and prizes will be given away to the blogging community.

Top prize in the first season is a $12,500 package sending the best poker playing blogger to the 2006 World Series of Poker, where they will be eligible to win as much as $10,000,000 from an expected record prize pool.

The Blogger Poker Tour is a novel concept, involving popular blogs 'hosting' a series of $500 freeroll poker tournaments at online poker site, Poker.com. The host blogger names the their tournament, designs the table to be used for their tournament and hosts the password and all relevant tournament information leading up the event. Other participants then visit and link to each host blog during the course of the season to keep up with the tour events and results.

Anybody who runs or contributes to a blog can participate and every tour event is totally free. Prizes include not just the WSOP package, but also a massive Dell LCD monitor, a custom made poker table, customised Apple iPods and other merchandise & prizes.

Top placegetters from all regular season events, as well as the top referrers and hosts get through to the tour championship event where just 50 bloggers will hit the felt to decide who represents all bloggers at the WSOP in July.
