Blapo finds sponsor

MONTREAL, Quebec -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Everest Poker today announced its May sponsorship of the BLAPO London Amateur Poker Organisation. The online poker room will sponsor Texas holdem events held in the greater London area and offer all BLAPO members the chance to play in a BLAPO Members and Friends $200 online freeroll poker tournament every Sunday at 20:00 GMT (21:00 UK Time).

"Poker's growing very rapidly in the UK," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. "We wanted to work with BLAPO to foster a grassroots movement and give players the chance to compete for real money."

BLAPO runs six live poker events across London during the week including games at the Warwick in SW1 every Sunday, two Monday night tournaments at The Master Gunner in Moorgate and Bar Room Bar in Wanstead, and a warm-up game and tournament the Spinnaker in London every Tuesday. BLAPO also occasionally hosts poker games for its members on other nights. These games are free for all interested players and more information can be found at BLAPO.co.uk/ .

Everest Poker's sponsorship of the BLAPO events began on April 28th and will run for the next several months.
