MONTREAL, Quebec -- They may have atmosphere and quaintness but Quebec's bingo halls are being benched by online gambling, The Toronto Star reports.Bingo halls are an important source of funding for nonprofits in the province, the report explained.
The 50 bingo halls are in economic freefall, as they struggle to attract a younger generation and are still reeling from the smoking ban, The Toronto Star reported.
