Bingo Magic 2000 a Huge Success
Combine the charm of Paris, a world-class venue, the excitement of Las Vegas, and the best odds ever of winning a million dollars and you've got Bingo Magic - The World Championship of Bingo! ``This event has set the stage for what the game of Bingo is going to become around the world'' said Leo Dion, Chairman of Dion Entertainment, which through its wholly owned subsidiary Bingo Plus Services (America), Inc. is the exclusive marketing agent of Bingo Magic.
Bingo players from across North America arrived at Paris Las Vegas yesterday to participate in the inaugural Bingo Magic event and compete for a total prize pool of $1,250,000 (USD).
The program leading up to the championship game consisted of fifty nine bingo games for various amounts between $1,199 and $25,000. According to Stuart Richey, a gaming executive at Paris Las Vegas ``Those early games alone generated a ton of excitement but when the final game was held for $1,000,000 the atmosphere was electric''. Mr. Richey added that ``The appeal for this event has extended far beyond traditional bingo players and has brought in many high stakes players who recognize the extraordinary odds and entertainment value of the game.''
When the event was over Mrs. Carole Viola of New Jersey, New York was America's newest millionaire and the World Champion of Bingo for 2000.
