Betway trims the odds on West Ham

The Hammers are now 14/1 – in from 18/1 – after appointing the sought after Croatian.
Bilic, 46, joins the Hammers after two seasons in charge of Besiktas, where he guided the side to consecutive third place league finishes. He was also at the helm for the Turkish side’s victory over Liverpool in the Europa League last season, which saw the Reds eliminated on penalties.
The former Croatian national team boss is no stranger to the Boleyn Ground, having made 54 appearances for the club as a player in just one and a half seasons.
With West Ham having secured European football via the Fair Play League, Bilic will look to take them deep into the tournament that now rewards the winners with a direct Champions League qualification place.
Betway offer 40/1 – in from 50/1 – for the east Londoners to win the competition and they are 20/1 to win any trophy this season.
The new appointment has also seen Betway cut West Ham’s odds on a top-half finish from 2/1 to 7/4.
Betway’s Alan Alger said: “West Ham fans will be very happy to have Slaven Bilic in the dugout for the upcoming European adventure and final campaign at the Boleyn.
“Bringing in such a high profile name looks to have increased their chances of qualifying for European football ahead of the move to the Olympic Stadium but also landing some silverware.”
