BetVictor Poker launches 50,000-euro Sit "N" Go Challenge for March
28 Feb 2013
The challenge for players is then to finish at the top of one or more of the SNG Challenge leaderboards by achieving the highest score through playing a block of consecutive, qualifying SNGs.
To participate players simply need to log-in to the poker room software, click on “My Account” and then “SNG Challenge” in the lower left-hand corner of the “My Account” page. This takes players to the SNG Challenge website, where they can click the “opt-in” button.
Points are then awarded for top place finishes in each individual sit “n” go played within a block of 10 and 50 consecutive and qualifying SNGs, which are then totaled to produce a score and a place on one or more of the leaderboards.
The four buy-in levels - “less than €5,” “€5 to €9.99,” €10 to €29.99” and “€30+” - are available to all players.
As soon players have played their first SNG in March (after opting-in), their nickname will appear on the leaderboard relevant to the stakes at which the SNG was played. Once they have completed a block of 10 qualifying SNGs within the same stake range they will receive their first leaderboard score.
The leaderboard will always use a player’s "optimal block" of SNGs for leaderboard purposes, so if they complete a second block of 10 qualifying SNGs and receive less points in total than in their first block of 10, then their leaderboard score will remain unchanged; for players who complete a third block of 10 qualifying SNGs and receive more points than their previous high score, their leaderboard score will improve accordingly.
When players have worked their way up to their fifth block of 10 qualifying SNGs at a particular stake range they will also have completed their first block of 50 qualifying SNGs at the same stake range and receive their first score on the relevant "Block of 50" leader board.
Sit “n” go’s which qualify for the SNG Challenge are all Euro six-seat and nine-seat Texas hold’em tables except heads up, double up, satellite and feeder tables.
Each of the eight leaderboards (block of 10 and block of 50 at four buy-in levels each) has a total of €6,250 in prizes up for grabs.
Andy Horne, head of poker at BetVictor, said, “Our Sit ‘N’ Go Challenge is designed to test players' skills over a range of single-table tournaments. The great thing is that there’s €50,000 free cash up for grabs for simply qualifying by playing a minimum of 10 sit ‘n’ go’s, which means anyone can participate and take their shot.
"Better still, there’s eight leaderboards and 550 places in total getting paid so there’s something for everyone in this super spring Sit 'N' Go Challenge. Just opt-in, sit and go!”
