BetVictor Poker Bad Beat Jackpot of €481,000 could hit any day now
27 Dec 2012
The Bad Beat Jackpot at the site currently stands at €481,000 and is rising by the second.
It hasn’t been won in over five months and is the second-highest Bad Beat Jackpot figure ever attained. It’s also the longest time span that the jackpot has gone without being hit since September 2006 so the question is, how long can it last?
Andy Horne, head of poker at BetVictor, said, “Everyone is holding their breath in anticipation of the jackpot being landed. But the beauty of it is that no one knows when it might hit. The only thing we know is that to be in with a shot of getting lucky you have to be at the tables and be unlucky so we’re not sure whether to wish our players good luck or bad luck. Either way, may the luck be with you!”
To be eligible for the Bad Beat Jackpot players must be playing at €0.50/€1 to €3/€6 at the no-limit hold’em Bad Beat tables (located in the BetVictor Poker lobby).
Any player at these tables who loses a hand with four-of-a-kind, eights-or-better will qualify for the Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot.
The loser of the hand will win 50 percent of the available jackpot at the time.
Additionally, the winner of the hand will win 25 percent of the available jackpot and the remaining participants in the hand will share 25 percent.
Elsewhere at BetVictor Poker this holiday season the 12 Days of Christmas is underway, and with 10 days remaining there is plenty of opportunity to join in the festive fun with freerolls, giveaways, money added, cash bonuses, triple Action Points, rake races and even a couple of "all in every hand" tournaments to keep holiday boredom at bay and build a bankroll for 2013.
