BetVictor Poker Bad Beat Jackpot hits all-time high, approaching €700,000

5 Feb 2013

DUBLIN, Ireland -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The BetVictor Poker Bad Beat Jackpot has moved into uncharted territory, not only outstripping the previous record amount but beating the previous longest length of time since it has been won.

Currently standing at €695,945 and rising by the second it has surpassed the previous highest record of €627,000. It is also now 7 months and 29 days since it was last won - the longest it has gone since lasting 7 months and 10 days.

Andy Horne, head of poker at BetVictor, said, “With two new records set in recent days there’s no sign of a let up in the pressure at our Bad Beat tables. The anticipation is palpable.

“We don’t know when it's going to hit but we do know you have to be at the tables when it does to be in with a chance of winning and when it does some lucky players are going to walk away with a life-changing amount of cash. That’ll be a bad beat story no one will mind listening to!”

To be eligible for the Bad Beat Jackpot players must be playing at €0.50/€1 to €3/€6 at the no-limit hold’em Bad Beat tables (located in the BetVictor Poker lobby).

Any player at these tables who loses a hand with four-of-a-kind, eights-or-better will qualify for the Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot.

The loser of the hand will win 50 percent of the available jackpot at the time.

Additionally, the winner of the hand will win 25 percent of the available jackpot and the remaining participants in the hand will share 25 percent.
