BetMGM expands Second Chance offer

(PRESS RELEASE) -- BetMGM, a leading iGaming and sports betting operator, is expanding its popular Second Chance promotion so that basketball and hockey fans can capitalize on the brand’s signature offer — the first of its kind to provide refunds as withdrawable cash back. Building on the successful launch during football season which saw a 110% year-over-year increase in first touchdown bets, BetMGM’s NBA and NHL Second Chance offers will allow users to automatically redeem their stake in cash if their first scorer prediction scores second in the game.

“The debut of Second Chance for football season was a huge success, so it’s a natural fit to extend the offer to our premier hockey and basketball products,” said Casey Hurbis, BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer. “Second Chance is just one more example of how BetMGM continues to deliver an elevated sports betting experience for our customers.”

BetMGM players can earn a Second Chance through the following scenarios:

- NBA Second Chance: Now live and offered every Friday during the regular season, fans who place a straight bet on a player to score the game’s first field goal will receive their wager back in cash if that player scores second (Second Chance paid via withdrawable unrestricted funds).

- NHL Second Chance: Beginning 8 January and running every Wednesday during the regular season, users who place a straight bet on a player to be the first goal scorer will receive their wager back in cash if that player scores second (Second Chance paid via withdrawable unrestricted funds).

BetMGM currently operates in 29 markets with mobile and retail offerings. The BetMGM Sportsbook app is accessible on both iOS and Android, as well as via desktop.
