Betfair hit by Cyprus restrictions

LONDON, England -- Betfair's shares took a bit of a battering on the news that Cyprus plans to introduce curbs on online gambling, The Guardian reported.

Betfair shares feel 4.5% the report said.

The company however challenged and will investigate the legality of the move by Cyprus under EU law, The Guardian report said.
