Betfair could take gamble on stock market float

LONDON, England -- Betfair, the online betting exchange, may float on the stockmarket to the tune of £1.5 billion, according to The Scotsman.

Decisions on pricing have yet to be taken, but an announcement is expected within two weeks, the report said.

Analysts speculate that such a floatation could put Betfair on the FTSE index, The Scotsman reported.
