bet365 Betting Editorial now available as RSS feed
12 Jul 2011
The Betting Editorial was originally introduced to give their affiliate partners access to betting-related sports content, which could then be used to help promote their odds and markets, with the ultimate intention of driving more traffic to their website. The initial take-up for this was good but, after listening to feedback given by affiliates, it became clear that an RSS feed functionality was essential for ease of use and to allow many more affiliates to benefit from this.
There are currently eight versions of the Betting Editorial available: UK, Australia, Canada, Spain. Germany, Greece, Portugal and Sweden. Each of these has a separate RSS feed, available through the below links:
- UK - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/english.php
- Australia - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/australian.php
- Canada - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/canadian.php
- Greece - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/greek.php
- Sweden - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/swedish.php
- Spain - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/spanish.php
- Portugal - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/portuguese.php
- Germany - http://feeds.ics-sport.com/sites/Bet365/german.php
The Betting Editorial is fed through the RSS feed five days a week (Monday to Friday) and is tailored to appeal to customers from the relevant country. So, the Canadian editorial is predominantly about U.S. sports, while the Australian editorial concentrates on AFL, for example. The editorial is written with a betting slant, thus giving your customers more inclination to visit bet365 and place a bet as a result. Of course, the Betting Editorial will need to be rewritten to make it unique and this will certainly help from a SEO perspective, but it’s still free content nevertheless.
So, whether it’s changes to bet365’s Premier League outright betting as news of the latest big-name transfer filters through or the impact of a great first round by Rory McIlroy on their Open Championship betting, you can potentially – by using their Betting Editorial in some capacity on your website(s) – drive more traffic through to bet365 and boost your revenues in the long term.
bet365 always listen to their affiliates so don’t hold back with your feedback. The Betting Editorial is for your benefit so let them know if something’s not right as they may be able to fix it.
