BestBet Jacksonville kicks off MSPT Season 8

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The first festival of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Season 8 kicked off yesterday at BestBet Poker, Simulcast and Racing - Jacksonville in Florida. The stop will feature 10 events including the $360 buy-in $100,000 Guarantee, which is happening now.

Then, from 27-29 January, the stop will conclude with an $1,100 buy-in $200,000 Guarantee Main Event. Both the final tables for the Regional and Main Events, as well as Event #4: $200 No-Limit Hold'em, will be broadcast LIVE (15-minute delay) worldwide on the website using RFID technology allowing all viewers to see the hole cards.

Other events on the schedule include Event #3: $350 No-Limit Hold'em w/ $100 Bounties, Event #7: $240 Limit Omaha 8 or Better, and Event #10: $290 No-Limit Hold'em "Six Hour Iron Man."

The last time the MSPT visited the property, Arthur Andrade topped a field of 459 entries to win the Main Event for $112,990. A week before that, Blake Whittington prevailed over a field of 690 entrants to win the MSPT Regional Event for $45,492.
